Hey, hey! Welcome back to another yoga flow. Today we’re chatting about energy, and how to regain it when you feel wiped, with today’s flow being specifically for tired legs.
If you’ve been getting after it skiing, hiking, running, lifting, or anything where you’re powered through your legs – this flow is for you!
Yoga for Tired Legs, Plus Three Tips to Regain Your Energy!
Get Moving
This may seem counterintuitive, but a bit of gentle movement can be a game changer for a tired body and especially low energy. Have you noticed how we can be exhausted from sitting all day?
Your low energy is due your nervous system being in a super slow state, so by getting up and moving, you’re ramping your nervous system up. Your movement doesn’t even have to be intense – take a gentle yoga class (*cough like this one! cough*), walk your dogs or dance around the house for a bit. Find something to get out of the slumps and back into your energy!
Eat Well
This one may be able to go without saying, but I’m saying it. If you eat crappy food, you may end up feeling as such. 😉
Focus on eating just a little bit better. Make your next meal contain more vegetables – you don’t have to eat a kale salad with quinoa to be a healthy and energized person.
Go Socialize
Hear me out on this one! Coming from another introvert – sometimes this one pains me to do, but I know it’s good for me.
Schedule something fun with a good friend. Grab a coffee, go for a hike or even just call them up. We are, although it can be hard to believe, social creatures and do need connection. A big tip for fellow introverts: make sure these are people you have a deep connection with. Make it those people that truly bring you up and make you feel loved.
Over to you! I hope enjoyed the flow and the few tips to invite energy back in. What do you do to stay energized? Comment below and let me know!
