Hey, hey! Welcome to your yoga flow to undo tightness in the neck and shoulders. An area that I feel is almost constantly needing some undoing.
Especially if you’re someone who’s found at a desk most of the day. And maybe you’re not – but I’m willing to bet this is an area of tightness for you as well.
I get it. It’s our society these days.

And it’s okay.
We don’t have to be ultra-bendy and be able to bring out feet to our heads.
We just have to find ways to release tension. And that’s it.
This is where today’s yoga flow comes in – as a way to release tension. A simple, 13-minute way to bring in space in the upper body.
It doesn’t have to take up your afternoon. You don’t have to do any ‘woo woo yoga crap’. 😉
So here’s what you can do…
Take small steps to releasing this tension. That can be through this video, others’ yoga videos, or simply laying over a bolster to open the front body.
Notice your posture. Are you slouching (be honest)? Do you feel yourself broadening through the chest?
And if you’re not sure. Take a quick video or have a friend check it out! This is one of those things that can made a huge difference in how your body, energy and confidence feels.
And lastly, breathe deeply. Imagine yourself navigating the breathe into the chest. Completely fill up through the top of the rib cage, in between the shoulder blades.
Focus on catching yourself when you feel tension rolling in (hint: this may come up when you’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed).
Once you feel yourself tightening up (and you’ll notice it!), take three BIG breaths, sit up straight and just roll your shoulders back.
Come back to center.
Repeat as needed.
